After a great couple of days with friends in Milford, Iowa it was time to continue my journey. I was very excited to be heading to Las Vegas again! Once again Delta was my choice of airline. I booked a pretty good First Class fare from Sioux Falls to Las Vegas via Minneapolis. As the first flight was on board a Delta Connection CRJ200, there was no First Class cabin.
The flights itself were uneventful, luckily no delays this time. I also was able to spend a couple of hours at the Mall of America during my connection in Minneapolis. It sure brought back some childhood memories.

For my trip to CES, I managed to find a Delta Itinerary from Minneapolis to Las Vegas being serviced by an Airbus A350. I didn't hesitate to book this flight as it gave me a chance to check out Delta's flagship cabin on a domestic flight. While the suite and cabin were amazing, the service left a lot to be desired. On top of that, water didn't flow out of places I expected it to, and did from places that I didn't.

The 2022 Consumer Electronics Show prompted Delta to add temporary A350 service on select routes in and out of LAS. Join me as I take full advantage of one of these domestic Flagship flights in first class!
* Delta’s first hand A350s have 306 seats. Delta’s second hand ones that are ex Latam have 339. The seat configuration is completely different as well.
If you’re wondering, yes I did get reimbursed for the hotel costs. In addition to this, I was given 12,500 miles for the inconvenience of the delay.

Full flight video of my recent Delta B739 flight on-board Delta flight 1551 from Minneapolis - St. Paul. to Las Vegas.
I have to say this is one of the most spectacular approaches I've ever flown. The video doesn't do it justice. After that final turn and the right wing drops to level of, revealing a view of the whole Las Vegas strip with the sun setting behind... One of those special moments you wont forget.
