As a lifelong traveler, I never get tired of the process of boarding a plane going somewhere new and exciting, and one of the little pleasures I enjoy is seeing a new airport on my way to my destination.
Minneapolis Saint-Paul International Airport serves more passengers than every airport in each neighboring state, and it acts as a hub for Delta Air Lines and its regional affiliate Delta Connection for the Upper Midwest. MSP is a great airport to transit, spend some time in, or start your journey anew, with an interesting layout, lots of options for food and shopping, and good planespotting, too. This regional hub is home to its own airline, Sun Country Airlines, which offers dozens of seasonal destinations.
This tour focuses on the primary terminal of the airport, Terminal 1. This terminal contains seven concourses that serve Delta Air Lines and other airlines, including domestic and international carriers. The airport also features several areas throughout the airport where you can shop and relax.
Whether you've got forty minutes or four hours, MSP has what you need to make your visit pleasant and memorable.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (IATA: MSP, ICAO: KMSP, FAA LID: MSP), also less commonly known as Wold–Chamberlain Field, is a joint civil-military public use international airport. It is located in a portion of Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States, within 10 miles (16 kilometers) of both downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul. MSP is the largest and busiest airport in the six-state Upper Midwest region of Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. A joint civil-military airport, MSP is also home to the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport Joint Air Reserve Station, supporting both Air Force Reserve Command and Air National Guard flight operations.
The airport is mostly located in the census-designated place of Fort Snelling in an unincorporated portion of Hennepin County. Small sections of the airport are within the city limits of Minneapolis and Richfield. However, per Minnesota state law, the land on which the airport sits is not part of any city or school district. MSP covers 2,930 acres (1,186 ha) of land.
In 2017, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport was the 17th busiest airport in the United States. The airport was named best Airport in North America among air terminals that serve 25 to 40 million passengers annually, the second largest category, in 2016, 2017 and 2018 by The Airports Council International. The airport generates an estimated $15.9 billion a year for the Twin Cities' economy and supports 87,000 workers.
MSP is the third largest hub airport for Delta Air Lines and its Delta Connection partners by passenger traffic. It also serves as the home airport for Minnesota-based Sun Country Airlines. Delta Air Lines and its regional affiliates account for about 70% of the airport's passenger traffic. The airport is operated by the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which also handles the operation of six smaller airports in the region.

11. United Airlines 737-700 Economy Trip Report San Diego to Chicago

United Airlines has a fleet of over 350 Boeing 737's, ranging from the 737NG variants (-700, -800, -900) to the new 737 MAX (MAX 8 and MAX 9). So it goes without saying that there are a variety of cabin configurations you can fly on across this large fleet. Today, we're flying the oldest of these configurations on one of United's former Continental 737-700's. It's my first time flying United's -700 and I've heard rather mixed reviews about its economy class. I mean, this configuration offers the least amount of economy class pitch out of the entire United fleet (30 inches putting it on par with American Airlines Kodiak). So let's see what this nearly-six-foot guy thinks of it on this 3.5 hour flight from San Diego to Chicago.
